Meet the team

Danique Stappers (24) joined Aristotle Technologies with a master's degree in Industrial Design from Eindhoven University of Technology and a strong passion for sports. She volunteers as a lifeguard on Texel beach during summers, developing analytical insight, risk management, and leadership skills. She is growing into her function as Product Manager with a human-centered design approach.

Maurits Overmans is Co-Founder and CEO of Aristotle Technologies. During his Biomedical Engineering master's, he met the other co-founders and pursued Aristotle full-time. His motivation stems from personal experience witnessing cognitive decline's impact, driving him to help people recover and enhance their quality of life.

Marcello Sala is Co-Founder and COO & Head of Sports, with a background in Industrial Design and Innovation Management. He enjoys creating products, prototypes, communities, networks, and complete businesses from scratch. He also works as a project leader at TU/e innovationSpace.

What sets Aristotle apart?

The approach grounds itself in scientific research and real-life customer experiences. The company introduces unique cognitive dual-task training methods. Products require only an internet connection and screen access (tablet, monitor, laptop), integrating seamlessly into existing working environments. Results provide measurable data insights after each session.

"The loss of a close one was the strongest motivator for me to start with Aristotle. I need to stay loyal, determined, and focused to achieve our goals and help as many people as possible." — Maurits Overmans

Memorable moments

Participation in "The Pitch" at FC Utrecht was particularly memorable for Danique. Winning demonstrated that Aristotle's potential is recognized professionally in the sports industry.

Lessons learned

"You should only start a company in something that you are enthusiastic about. In 99% of the cases, everything that you think will be easily achievable is a lot harder." — Marcello Sala

Maurits learned to ask for help and embrace collaboration more fully. Danique values the open environment where combining respectful feedback with multiple perspectives results in comprehensive viewpoints.

The future

The mission is helping 1 million people with cognitive challenges by 2030. Maurits foresees majority positions in professional sports, physiotherapy, and special education — starting in the Netherlands, expanding to Western EU, and scaling to North America.
